How Flashcard Mastery Score Works
The small grey number on each flashcard header is your word's Mastery Score. It measures how well you know the word and determines how often it appears in your daily study deck:
Again
-20 points — Resets streak & resets word to learning mode for immediate review.
Hard
+5 points — Keeps word active with slight interval increases for steady practice.
Good
+15 to +50 points (compounding) — Standard progress increasing review intervals.
Easy
+30 to +320 points (exponential compounding) — Clicking Easy 3 times in a row skyrockets the word's score and pushes its review date out by months, so you master it and rarely see it again!
💡 Higher scores exponentially reduce card appearance frequency in your deck. Plural cards appear 0.1x as often as singular cards.
